What is tiny Om?

tiny Om is a parent & baby yoga class created to provide a nurturing space for you to bond with your little ones while also getting some self-care.

 

Any parent is welcome along with their little ones (from 8 weeks to ~1 year). No yoga experience is necessary.

 

Alongside gentle asanas, you'll engage with your baby providing a dedicated space to look after yourself while nurturing a connection with your little one.

Who's behind tiny Om?

Hi, I'm George! I'm a qualified yoga teacher and I created tiny Om to share the joy of movement, play, and connection with parents and their babies.

 

As a new mum, baby yoga was the first baby class I attened with my son. I was just starting to come out of the fog of the first few months, and was desperately looking for some connection with other mums as well as something to do with my little one. It was the perfect mix of movement and time for myself as well as providing new ideas of ways to play with my baby. The songs and movement we learnt in class became fast favourites at home. I knew quite quickly that it was something I'd like to create for others to experience.  Having already qualified as a yoga teacher in India in 2016, it seemed a no-brainer to start my own class. Thus, tiny Om began!

 

 

Benefits of Mum & Baby Yoga

Bonding

Encourages bonding and connection between you and your baby as you interact and experience the class together.

Self-Care

Starts allowing you to reconnect with your body in this new state and help nurture it. Post-partum can be a tough time physically, and the gentle movement and asanas in the class can help make you feel stronger and more comfortable.

Relaxation

Time in the week set aside for you to look after yourself as well as your little one. In each class we try to find some peace amongst the babies so you can take a few minutes for yourself.

Play

Helping you find new ways of being alongside your baby. Whether it's showing you that you can fit in some yoga, or giving you some new ways to play with your little one, hopefully you'll have some new ways to engage with each other.

Any parents are welcome - that means you too Dads!

 

As long as you've been cleared for gentle movement by your doctor or midwife you're welcome to join us. We welcome babies aged 8 weeks to ~1 year.

 

- a yoga mat

- a blanket or mat for your little one to lie on

- any nappies/bottles you may need for the session

- some people like to bring a small toy

- yourselves in comfortable clothing

Absolutely not!
This class focuses on gentle movement and forming a connection with your baby. Absolute beginners are very welcome! This is a supportive and nurturing space where we meet authentically in our current capabilities.

This class is centered around the needs of you and your little ones so at any time if you need to feed your child, change them, or simply give them a little walk around, please do!
